There's a first time for everything and this is the first time I have uploaded a video clip to YouTube and also the first time I have embedded one on my blog. I'm not really a fan of flash but what the hell.

Anyway on the the subject of this post. Lately I have been playing around with my 770, there's not much new in that except I can now do a lot more with it due to the memory upgrade I just game it. Bye bye goes the 64MB card and hello to the 2GB one. Now, music, films, games and apps can be shoved on my 770 with little regard for space.

One such program I have been extensively "testing" is Doom which works amazingly and supports multiplayer play too. Words don't do it justice but this vid below comes a little closer

Yesterday I recieved the copy of Ren and Stimpy the complete first and second series from Amazon. It had to come from America as for some reason it's not sold over here at all.

The DVD is region one so as suspected it would not play on my DVD player which was a shame but it was not a problem as I would just watch it on my PC. Watching it on the PC isn't as good as watching it on a set dedicated to playing DVD's though so I had a look into unlocking my DVD player. It just so happens that my model can be very easily unlocked with no chips. All I had to do was create a hex file, put a few values in it put it in a few folders, burn it, play it in the DVD player and set my DVD players region to 0 which means it plays everything.

Sure enough the Ren and Stimpy DVD now worked. Ren and Stimpy has to be my favorite cartoon of all time. I hadn't seen a Ren and Stimpy episode for over 11 years! Watching some of the episodes again it soon became appartent where I get a lot of my humourus style from. It was odd to hear things and think that's the kind of daft thing I would have said. Perhaps the cartoons had an impact on me when I was growing up or perhaps I have always been this daft? Anyway who cares, Ren & Stimpy is just as good as I remember it and I can't wait to watch all 32 eps again
