Audible.co.uk seem to enjoy rewriting the way the internet is supposed work for the obfuscations of others, especially those running Linux. Ignoring the fact that Linux can't play the heavily DRM'ed AA, what happens if one wants to download an audio book using Linux to place on a media device that supports the AA format?

Unlike 99% percent of all web sites where your download is handled by your browser, audible go one step further to annoy people. They try and make it so that you can only download files using their pointless software, why? If you want to supply software for people, fine. Don't force them to use it! Even if I was using Windows it would annoy me to have to use their pointless software, I don't need a special app just to transfer audio books to my audio player .

Anyhow, the simple way around this is, purchase your book, select your audio quality. Click the "Stream" button and save the link. Open the file "aw_assemble_title_stream.pl" in a text editor and find a line similar to this
