After a bit of fiddling it works sort of, the graphics aren't great and the FPS is poor but it's playable... until it crashes lol. Some location tend to crash the game, I haven't looked into why or if it's possible to fix, I was just pleased to see it running. ATi cards are useless under Linux, I have ordered an nVidia 6800 GT and can't wait to get rid of my ATi card. It'll be very interesting to see the performance difference in Guild Wars Grining

Why are ATi cards so useless when you run Linux? Are they harder to program the OS to recognize and run well, or is it something weird like drivers or something?

I want Linux, it will be on my Uni computer next year and I will be laughed at and pointed at because all the cool people will call me a nerd and then I will kick their arses in because I am tough Cheeky

The game looks good though, so does the background:D

It's all to do with drivers and ATi's lack of commitment to thier Linux drivers and it's as simple as that.

Just tell them you are 1337 and will DDoS their b0xen lol.

The game looks OK but not as nice as it should, I uploaded some Guild Wars Screenshots taken under Windows.

P.S. I couldn't find the background I have on the net so I uploaded the Alexis Dzenia Background for you.

Thats the only thing I dislike about ATi, I switched over to them about a year and a half ago (yeah my computer sucks lol) and they dont updrade drivers as much as Nvidia, at first I thought it was because Nvidia drivers were not stable...partly true but ATi need to lift their game a bit.

GWs does look very nice under Windows, but again that may be as a result of my lowered expectations on graphics because of my old PC Cheeky

Cheers for the background Smileing
