I thought it would never come to an end Laughing.

The first week at Uni has been a rather odd one due to a number of reasons such as IT buildings not being finished on time causing my timetable to be incorrect and working on a "team challenge" an exercise I think designed to help you get to know one another, only I was already getting along well with some guys only to be put in a group without them. A rather odd way of doing things if you ask me.

The challenge was to create a short (given that we had three days) introduction web site for new comers to the Uni. My site http://home.wlv.ac.uk/~0368508/challenge/ came fourth out of around 30 groups. The winning site was actually one that didn't work but because people found this amusing they voted for it.

A surprise came when we were told we would have to present the sites. I hate speaking to an audience with a passion. My mind tends to go blank unless I prepare (as it did today). There must have been around 200 people I think and it was the first time I spoke to an audince of such size and had to use a PA system. Needless to say I hated every minute of it lol.

Anyway it's over and I'm glad of that, Now I can get on with settling in with the routine of Uni life. Contrary to what many people believe there has been no copious drinking. In fact I have had only one pint and that was had today.

No copious drinking...Ah well, I better change my attitudes, even though I dont like getting smashed, just the occasional drink lol

Why do you hate talking to groups? Admittadly 200 people is a lot but I love speaking in front of people, especially when you dont prepare and you have to make it up on the spot. lol.

Good that you had a good first week, may there be many more to come.

I don't like getting exceedingly drunk. In fact I never go out to get drunk I go out to drink. If the beer is good I'll drink more of it Smileing

I don't like talking to crowds because I get very nervous and that makes me mess things up and look like a fool.
