OK I couldn't resist the idea of having a go on one of these E-Skateboards so I have just made my order from one from eBay. Admittedly I have wanted one of these for some time but they used to cost much more than they are worth in my opinion, now that you can get them for £50 off eBay (plus £20 P&P) I was prepared to part with my money.

E-Skateboard

The board travels at around 8 MPH which is fine by me as I'm not after something fast otherwise I'd travel on my normal skateboard which has not seen the light of day for some years now. The only down side to this board (apart from the fact that stunts are out of the question) is that it's so huge. It must be three foot long, tis a small price to pay for an aid to laziness however Cheeky

It'll probably arrive this week so expect a full report when it does Smileing

That looks awesome, why would you want to do tricks? that just requires energy lol. 50 pounds seems like a pretty good price to me.

Good point, it does require enegry for tricks but some tricks are usefull, esp jumping up a kerb otherwise you have to stop and *shock* bend down and pick it up *horror* How un-lazy is that! Cheeky

£50 isn't bad but £70 comes out of my wallet realisticly, £20 for P&P sounds very expensive to me Confused

When I was 12 I moved from Seattle (a northern town in Washington, weather much like London) to a town in Southern California. A place where everyone surfed and skated.

Because I didn't skate, surf or have a tan, I got beat up at recess. All the time.

This is why I don't like skateboards that much. Cheeky

Well we wouldnt want you to use too much energy picking stuff up, so good point about tricks lol. Bwongar, I cant skate and I hate skating punks that just use it as a fashion accesory and dont even skate....I dont know what that had to do with you but anyway, you should have had a jacket like james bond in the world is not enough that encompases him in a big ball Cheeky

I too hate those kids who skate because eveyone else does. When I started skating no one had even seen a skateboard lol. OK, perhaps not but they were used by practically no one and I would frequently have people ask me why I skate since no one does anymore.

Two years later some of those people were skating, however now I have had to stop skating so I don't fall into the same cetegory as the rest Sad

As for surfing I live around 130 miles from the beach and even if I did live closer theres no waves on it anyway lol. I'd like to give it a go however.

Where exactly should I try snowboard? Some indoor snow dome type place? That doesn't realy appeal to me. If I was to try it I'd want to use real snow and be outdoors.
