Gmail, Google's free web/pop based mail service are in the process of giving everyone an extra gigabyte of space to celebrate Gmail's first birthday. Gmail has an interesting way of showing they are giving users more space. If you visit the front page you can see a counter incrementing the amount of megabytes until it reaches two gigabytes. If you login to a Gmail account at the bottom of the screen where it normally reads "You are using x% of your 1000MB" the x corresponds with the amount on the front page and will change if you refresh your browser. Google even have plans to further increase Gmails storage space!

That's a very nice touch, I just hope it moves slowly enough for everyone who uses Gmail to be able to appreciate this Rolling Eyes

Gmail and the Google empire just keep getting better and better!

I have to admit that I use only about 1-3 Megs at any one time. I still like Gmail as it's the best webmail, bar none! Their use of XMLHttpRequest is, shall I say, neato!

Hi Bwongar, so you have noticed my blog I see Smileing

Last time I checked I was using 18MB then I deleted a load of junk and got it down to 6MB but it's nice to know that there's all that space waiting for me in case I should need it.

I think Gmail is easily the best webmail client there is.
